Why do I have to use clear bags?
This is to ensure that we can see what is in your bags, it is for the safety of our staff. You wouldn't believe the things people will try to bring in to us in clear bags, one of the most dangerous is sharps (used needles) and we see them more often than we like.
It is also to make sure your counted bottles are all things that we accept and pay for.
Do I have to count my bottles before I bring them in?
Change of 2020 - YES
Change of 2024 - Not necessarily! We are able to offer you an experienced guess on the quantity of containers you have.
Make sure your count is correct, and mark the amount in each bag ON the bag with a permanent marker! We reserve the right to count any bags/boxes to ensure your count is accurate, and there are no products we don't accept . But most of the time we take all of your bags as you have them counted!
We need to know:
The # of beer bottles
The # of Large Liquor Bottles (over 500ml)
The # of Beverage Containers
Example: 6 dozen beer + 3 loose beer bottles, 23 Large liquor bottles, 546 Beverage containers
Please do not add them up in dollars.... we can not ring it through the cash that way!
Write the amount of containers on EACH bag with a permanent marker!
Do I have to wait outside?
Change 2022 - No! You are welcome to come in to our cash counter, from here you will have a full view of our processing area!
Please be cautious, we have a forklift on the premises, our licensed drivers are cautious, but small children tend to move quickly, please keep them with you at all times.
We have a new porch that leads to our previous blue door with an "ENTRANCE" sign, please bring all of your bags in through this door. We also have a roll up door, that you may drive your vehicle up to, to unload large quantities of beer and/or glass bottles ONLY (we do not accept blue bags at this door). Once you are unloaded please move your vehicle so the next person can unload, and come in. We have a large parking lot, please drive through the open gate, and park, we ask that you please not line up and block our gates with your vehicle.
I need help unloading a large TV, is someone available to help me?
Absolutely! Please come in the through the porch to our blue door, and let us know you need help, one of our friendly staff will come out and assist!
Can I leave my items if you are closed?
We are not responsible for any items left on our premises after hours. Please drop all items off during our working hours.
Dropping any items off outside of the fence, which we do NOT accept is illegal, we have security camera's on property, and you can be reported.
Your sign says closed, but there are people there, can I come in?
We are open to the public Monday to Friday from 8am to 3:30pm & Saturday 8am - Noon. Customers are asked to come at this time.
If you come before 8am or after 3:30pm you may NOT come in. We use this time to load our trucks, so they don't interfere with our open times, our forklift is running, and our staff are busy loading the truck, so there is no one available to serve you. Thank you for understanding!
We are doing a bottle drive fundraiser... how does that work?
